Short Film Animation "Aquatic"

“Aquatic” is a frame-by-frame animation that was created within a project week. The task was free. Within these 4 days, everyone should create a 30-second animation and should get familiar with an animation technique.

As the main inspiration, everyone should focus on a sound or song of their choice. I choose to use the song Juparo by Broke for Free. While listening to the song, I created a quick mood board with some elements that I would like to include in my animation film. After that, I decided that I want to create a paper cut look for the illustrations. To speed up the process, I digitalized the first frame that I created with paper and continued to illustrate the elements. The heatwave that was going on during this project week and the desire to cool off somewhere nice inspired the story of “Aquatic”.
